ITS MY LIFE...!

Posted by panchali mallick at 10:34 PM 1 comments
I heard it somewhere......"Life is a Bitch so F@#K it hard." The terminology might be a little derogatory but who said that the truth wont taste bitter? It wont be a breakin news if i say that life has been so unpredictable, so unadjusting & so unjustified. Life has always been such, and if you haven't yet tasted your share of pie, well....then i have but a small piece of advice for you......
..........GET A LIFE MAN>>>!

I often fall short of words when i try to define life. Well i know that nobody is asking me the lousy question.......SO neways Life is just life......nd it is worth living ......but not the way it comes. Life is just like the speed racing games we have in our cell phones.....and check it out in the bottom of the LCD. Yes it is the small jet that appears in there. The more hurdles you overcome, the more it increases in its speed & the obstacles simply doubles itself. The joy of having been able to beat up the speed is always very overwhelming. Nothing is more enthralling than the tag of YOU WIN flashing up on the display. THIS IS WHAT I CALL IS LIFE. It is always challenging.

LIFE is bloddy too precious to sacrifice it for whatever comes in its way. Rather one must live life King Size. Years pass in a flash of light. We become old before we even realise. The we havi with us is very little, So just lets get our ARSE DOWN to work, to enjoy, to accomplish and TO LIVE. There is so much in the world toi know, to ;learn to visit but the time is really an ass.....! Just not or rather never enough.

So as the saying goes folks.......WOrk hard & party even harder. Well i read a piece which should be the motto for every life....and it goes like this......."Shoot for the moon and if you mis, you'll still be among thr stars" SO guys time to get our targets fixed.

MUSIC MANTRA

Their soulful melody is breathtaking. The music they play is so that the nostalgia remains with one for days after witnessing their performance. Such is the magic of ALI KHAN Brothers, the spell of which lingers long after the moment actually occures.

It was after years that I recurperated faith into the practise of paying "Anjali" on Saraswati Puja without the slightest idea of that the homage would bless me with the oppurtunity to witness the most Spiritual Saraswati Vandana ever.
Amaan & Ayaan Ali Khan are not only the fortunate heirs of their musical inheritence, but what they did inherit from their blessed Family is their dedication to the instrument they play.

It was in the chilly evening of Saraswati Puja that i went to attend the 150th anninersary celebration of the Xavier's , accompanied with my best buddy. Knowing very well that i was about to watch the KHAN brothers perform live, the mercury levels of my excitement & epectations were decently high.

The fiery performance started with the musical duo playing Twilight from their most celbrated music album REINCARNATION, and later the evening was followed by a malange of music & rythm.

The rythm they played was truely divine. The Duo with their deadly combination of Music & Style were an amazing crowd puller. They are the true representations of the Indian Youth Icon, but not with a Guitar hung aropund them, instead tehy display the glory of Indian culture with modernisation. For the Dude with the Sarod wisdom lies or rather lives in the music they play.

Arreyyyy script kidhar gayaa????? AAAGGGHHHH..!! .........Sorry Sir script to badal gaya........!!!!

Yes, truely ...script to badal hi gaya....The monotonous saga of emotional melodrama in Indian Films at last came to an end. Revenge, love stories and "Doodh ka karz" at last discarded to welcome a pleasant and refreashing change in films. The matamorphosis served us with all new intellectually spicy, emotionally tangy, educationally minty and sexually cheezy films.......mmmmm.....indeed yummy it is....All the hot filmy mouth watering recipies served only for our delight.

Thanx to the intelligible & brave-hearted filmmakers who are all readilly enthusiastic to serve us their most unusual yet interesting delicacies. All dressed in the new spirit....their motto being INNOVATION, EXPERIMENTATION.....WOW!!! What a delightful relief....! Social messages wrapped inextricably in the camouflage of entertainment can be the best possible combination. Something no less than "Cheezy bust Chicken Pop Pizzaz" or "Spicy & Hot Crispy Chicken".

Well arguements to this are not at all welcomed....even after citing the examples of Ghajni, Om Shanti Om......or very recent Wanted. These were indeed the formula movies that culminated into huge Box-Office success....but guys how about Bhagat Singh????............WHAT............DONT REMEMBER IT??????....................So let me change the question a little......How about RANG DE BASANTI????? It did strike your cord......isn't it???? So here u go with the answer. Films like this made a difference. A youthfull & entertaining film, yet it was interwoven with the gallant history of Bhagat Singh & AZAD. A major box-office success. And to cite a few more examples......how about Swadesh, Munna Bhai Series, Chak de, Dev D.,Rocket Singh, 3 Idiots, Ishqiyaa, My Name is Khan & very recent.....Lunch Box, Bhag Milkha Bhaag, Dedh Ishqiyaa or Highway???

It is true that the mainstream drivers of Indian film industry constitute the major dynamics of Bollywood. For every mainstream films like Yea Jawani Hai Diwani, Chennai Express, Krish 3 or Dhoom 3 continues to rule the box office, there are the intellectual counterparts such as Saheb Biwi or Gangster, The Gand of Wasseypur, The D-Day and very celebrated Lunch Box!

Cinema today can be rightfully called a potent medium to spread across nations & priveilaging filmmakers of affecting a vast number of people. Apart from being entertaining these films also possess social message.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------Hello what more you people are waiting for? I have spilled enough....now its ur time to straight go & get urselves a quick bite of some delicious offerings of celluloid.

VAMPIRE CHARMING

Posted by panchali mallick at 10:00 PM 0 comments

She led an ordinary life, a life no different from most of her peers. A life that encompassed usual parameters of family and career. Weary of the turmoils ( an ample share of which she experienced), she, ended up in the struggle for survival. Struggle to emerge victorious out of the wearies of life. Her life overshadowed by the truth and practicality, lost somewhere the address to the Utopia she'd built around herself. The reality, which was her present, subsided the urge she nourished of someday living in the Utopia.

The whip of reality indeed made her love the life even more. Afresh ith the wisdom of a conqueror, she lost her innocent dreams. It was untill one day when she came across "him" that she rediscovered her long lost dreams. The broken hopes and bespattered desires which lay underneath the debris of her dreams were unearthed.

"Silly", "Idiot", and many such adjectives would be directed towards her, for what she unearthed was the Mirage of her dreams of Love. She came across her Prince of Utopia at the most glorious time of the day....The Twilight. The time when the sun shines in its most magnificient aura. His beauty was magnificient. A prince indeed he was, but was not a human embody. When he exposed his bare body in the Sun, She came across the most wonderful phenomena she could ever witness.

It was done..she was struck by the unimagineable....and hit by cupid.....in the strangest of way that can ever happen.

Hey guys....enough ...its done..! Well lets not be sarcastic, but Edward Cullen is worth all such stupidity. Come'on dude....which gal wont get awestruck by his appeal. Guys its real boo-boo to deny the silly quoient that is present among all us. I m no different from the species family i belong to. And what better option of spilling out the "out of the world" dreams i endear than VAMPIRE CHARMING. We grew up hearing the fairy tales of some Prince charming.....enough.....what d f@$k man!....who said that prince can only posses such enchanting, mersmerising beauty..! This time we got something really hot and unusual served for us.....indeed it seems dam delicious..! But hard luck we are no " Bellas" to manage a quick "Bite"...! So all we can do is to WATCH...wid our tongues hanging out...! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm......! Gals always long for Bad Guys being good to us.

"PAA"-RA_RUM_PUM...!

The most unique form of relationship that is shared among the mortals is the parent-child relationship. The relation no matter how much is spoken, read, seen or written about, there seem to be some manifestation of the form that is still left untouched.

Recently i caught on to A.B.Corps' "Paa", and what effected me more than the film making or excellent performances from the cast and crew of the film was the depiction of parenthood and its versions in varient. The relationships potrayed in the celluloid were although distinct but shared the similarity of bonding and emotional strength.

As i steped inside the hall, i was quite sure about shedding tears during the climax, sighting the subject of the film and my previous experience while wathching the well appreciated "Taare Zameen Par", but what i actually went through the course of the film was absolutely unbelieveable. I learnt that parental support is not only necessary for taking the most unlikely decission of ones life but also for making the most dangerous and unexpected choices. The survival through the turbulent junctures of the life becomes so very easier with your parent standing right beside you.

The expression of "Do you want the child or not?" by the charecter of Vidya's mother or Auro's "Bum" laid the foundation of the unimagineable to follow. Where as Vidya's unconditional love and support to her Progeria inflicted son Auro, who inspite of being made aware of his uncurable disease and the ultimatum to follow, led a very normal and happy enough to be envious social life.Vidya not only gave Auro the freedom to live his short life the way he wants but her strength and support gave him the exuberence to enjoy every moment of his life to the fullest and thereafter to embrace his death in the most lively way. The strength abstated him from succumbing to the moments of embarrasement, which he barely had any, and the fear of his decreasing lifetime.

Auro was indeed special...............but what made him more special was his mother......VIDYA. The lucky one .....i envy him.

COPENHEGAN COIN

Melting icebergs, rising temparatures, water shortages, withering species - the crazy attributes of global warming. We all are indeed aware of what the misuse of power and resources can ferret out of the environment. World is falling prey to destruction as a byproduct of pollution. Our focus should be towards the eleminating the cause if this environmental depletion, or at least curb the harmful effects of global warming.Government of India have also extended favourable support towards the cause. The result being the decrease of India's carbon emmission rate to 5.4%.

India- the, most popular & populated Democracy, that is how i would love to identify her in the international forums. Being the largest "DEVELOPING DEMOCRACY" of the world, India is all engaged in its bid to emerge as a world power. But somewhere in the wake of her ambitions she has become apprehensive about standing for its own cause. Like any other third world countries, India today is more inclined towards following the tenets laid down by the World Biggies rather than applying her own discreetional abilities. A fact that has been proven yet another time in the 20:20 World Summit and probably would be proven again in the G-77 summit to be followed at Copenhegan. She agreed to the curricullum of cutting down its carbon emmission by 20 to 25%, inspite of strong condemnation comming from various stratum of the Indian society.

It is ironical to watch India paying a price almost same in comparison to the First world countries, who were and are the largest contributors to global warming. The injustice meted upon us is unjustifisble when countries like US have a much higher rate of carbon emission than India's by at least 70%.

I see an acute prevalence of faovouritism and convinience in the Anarchist-led World. Sighting over our growing dependence upon & economic relationships with US, it will be surely very difficult for India to take a strong stand without stirring the Hornet's nest. Indeed the Negotiations in Climate Change has Not been Global, what is now left to be seen is that will India be able to overcome her dillema or will she succumb to it.

What is left to be seen is India's stand at Copenhegan.....Will she follow the tune of US sighting her growing billateral relation with the country....or , will she stand for her virtue.
